The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP)-Davao Chapter held its 44th Induction of Officers and New Members at the Arcadia Active Lifestyle Center at Quimpo Boulevard, Matina, Davao City on August 20, 2019.
Gracing the event was lawyer Nathaniel Dalumpines, assistant secretary for Mindanao Affairs of the Office of the President, who came in behalf of Senator Christopher Lawrence Go.
In his keynote speech, Dalumpines enumerated the various ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects in Davao City and highlighted the architects’ role in the progress and development of the city.
This fiscal year’s administration of UAP Davao is headed by President Gilbert Peter Fortich. Joining him in the chapter board are Edwin Valledor, vice president for Plans and Programs; Neil Braw, vice president for Operations; Joshua Andrew Caputan, secretary; Mendrado Canusa IV, treasurer; Emmanuel Edsan Labutap, auditor; Joshua Ray Lasa, Marvin Kwan, and Gerard Anasco, directors; with Jun Yves Magdamo as Ex-Officio/Immediate Past President.
UAP National President Benjamin Panganiban, assisted by UAP Vice President for Area D Salvador Rosauro Sandoval and UAP District D1 Director Charleen Libron-Alquiza, was on hand to administer the oath of the incoming officers.
The chapter also inducted 35 new members during the event.
