Black Christmas. Light has come to this dark world - Christ Jesus, our Lord, was born to save those who dwelt in darkness in his life, death, and resurrection.
Hosted by the Past President Francis Hidalgo and Chapter Secretary Angeluz Almonte-Tesoro, the Christmas party of the UAP Davao Chapter Members and other Architects has been successful. With the opening remarks of the Chapter President Gilbert Fortich, the gathering started with joy and laughter among the guests, Old and new members. Abundant food was served through a buffet by the event place, Omerta Bistro and Lounge, which filled the stomach of the architects.
For the first game, Miss Nessy, the night singer, made the architects sing the missing lyrics of a popular Christmas song, a time when architects became nightingales of the night.
Exchanging gifts was done through "bunot-bunot" where the hosts called the names of the familiar and unfamiliar architects.
Past District Director Connie Dy, FUAP, enlightened the event through her testimony. She shared her life during her days of being a new architect and being alive in Christ Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas - God dwelt among us through his Son- Jesus, living a perfect life we cannot do, dying on the cross that we deserve, and resurrected as a sign of acceptance of his atonement of our sins.
The hosts then held the second and third games, making the guests guess the movie of certain songs, though most of the films were on the time of the Chapter Secretary, a significant disadvantage to the new architects. Yet everyone made to listen and think on such several songs.
Raffle prizes were given in the program's last part, which excited the architects to be called, contrary to the classroom setting.
