SPECIAL BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 01

A RESOLUTION TO CONDUCT THE “HALLOWEEN RUN 2024” AS A FUNDRAISING AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) EVENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WELFARE ACTION FOUNDATION OF DAVAO CITY INC. (BOYSTOWN DAVAO)

September 26, 2024

WHEREAS, the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Davao Chapter is dedicated to promoting architecture, fostering community development, and supporting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives;

WHEREAS, the Chapter seeks to engage in activities that strengthen member unity while contributing positively to society, particularly through supporting organizations that advocate for the welfare and development of vulnerable children and youth;

WHEREAS, the Welfare Action Foundation of Davao City Inc. (Boystown Davao) is an esteemed institution that provides care, education, and empowerment for children and youth in need, aligning with the Chapter’s CSR mission;

WHEREAS, the UAP Davao Chapter, in collaboration with Striders Sports Clinic & Events Organizer, plans to host the UAP Davao Halloween Run 2024 on November 3, 2024;

WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the event is to raise funds to support UAP Davao Chapter projects and activities, with a portion of the proceeds allocated to the Welfare Action Foundation of Davao City Inc. (Boystown Davao) as part of the Chapter’s CSR efforts for Fiscal Year 2024-2025;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that:

1. The UAP Davao Chapter Officers have planned to conduct the UAP Davao Halloween Run 2024 on November 3, 2024, in partnership with Striders Sports Clinic & Events Organizer, as a general fundraising activity for the Chapter's initiatives and a CSR event.
2. The Board will allocate the required resources to ensure the successful organization of the event and the proper distribution of the proceeds to the Chapter and the beneficiary.
3. The registration fee will be collected thru the following channels:
   1. “Gcash” as primary mode of payment (valid only for the event)

   2. UAP Security Bank as secondary mode of payment
   3. Cash payment at UAP Davao Headquarters
4. The net proceeds will be distributed as follows:
   1. Welfare Action Foundation of Davao City Inc. (Boystown Davao) will receive a percentage of 20 % or not less than Php 20,000.00
   2. UAP Davao Chapter will receive a percentage of 80%.
5. The UAP Davao Chapter President is hereby authorized to formalize the partnership with the Welfare Action Foundation of Davao City Inc. (Boystown Davao) and ensure all necessary agreements are in place.

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be disseminated to all relevant parties for their information and action.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that any prior resolutions or parts of resolutions conflicting with this resolution are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

RATIFIED and APPROVED this 26TH day of September, 2024, by the general membership during the 3rd General Membership Meeting of the UAP Davao Chapter held at 6th Floor, Star Hotel, Mabini St., Poblacion, Davao City.
